AUDITIONS and INFORMATION
2025 Season
Auditions for West Side Story will be February 7 at 6 PM and 8 at 9 AM and callbacks (by invitation only) will be February 10 at 6 PM. Performances will be on May 9, 10 (2 shows), 16, 17, and 18. All ages from 6th grade to adult are encouraged to audition. Roles will be available for all ethnicities/cultural backgrounds, however, for the roles of Maria, Anita, and the sharks, we are seeking actors of Hispanic/Latinx backgrounds. Audition and rehearsal location will be at 3299 Walnut Ave. Signal Hill, CA 90755. If you are auditioning for any role that has a solo you should prepare a 30 second (no longer) song to sing. You MUST provide a music track (with no vocals) to be played from YOUR phone. You may NOT perform a song from West Side Story but can choose any other song that shows off your range. You will also be asked to read from the script and learn a simple choreography routine as part of the audition. Please attend one of the auditions if you are interested in helping with any backstage opportunities such as costuming or make-up.
Rehearsals will be weekly: Mondays and Thursdays from 6-9 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM-1 PM. Please be prepared to list any known weeknight or weekend conflicts. If you are a Hoover, IVA, or Hamilton Middle School student, we will be holding separate auditions at your school. Look for the ad at school.
WEST SIDE STORY - SPRING 2025
LITTLE WOMEN - SUMMER 2025
Auditions for Little Women will be May 30 at 6 PM and May 31 at 9 AM with performances on July 18, 19, 26 and 27. Auditions are open to all ages from 6th grade to adult. Audition and rehearsal location will be at 3299 Walnut Ave. Signal Hill, CA 90755. Auditions will consist of a cold reading from the script. Please attend one of the auditions if you are interested in helping with any backstage opportunities such as costuming or make-up.
Rehearsals will be weekly: Mondays and Thursdays from 6-8 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM-12 PM. If your summer plans would cause you to miss more than TWO rehearsals, we recommend that you do NOT participate. Please be prepared to list any known conflicts.
LES MISÉRABLES: A CONCERT REVUE - SUMMER 2025
Auditions for Les Misérables: A Concert Revue will be on Friday June 27 at 6pm or Saturday June 28 at 9am. A single performance will be on August 23. Auditions for ALL female (soprano/alto) roles are open ONLY to current Act Out participants and alumni while ALL male (tenor/bariton/bass) roles are open to any male regardless of past participation. Audition and rehearsal location will be at 3299 Walnut Ave. Signal Hill, CA 90755. Additional audition requirements and rehearsal information will be posted soon.
FANTASTIC MR. FOX - FALL 2025
We are inviting children ages 8–11 (3rd-5th grade) to participate in our second elementary production! Auditions for Fantastic Mr. Fox will be September 19 at 6 PM and 20 at 9 AM with performances on November 21 and 22. Auditions are open to ages 3rd-6th grade. Audition and rehearsal location will be at the 3299 Walnut Ave. Signal Hill, CA 90755. You will be asked to read from the script as part of the audition. If you are a Los Cerritos elementary or Riley elementary student, we will be holding separate auditions at your school. Look for the ad at school. Rehearsal schedule will be announced at auditions.
ANNIE - FALL 2025
Auditions for Annie will be September 5 at 6 PM and 6 at 9 AM and callbacks (by invitation only) will be September 8 at 6 PM. Performances will be on December 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14. All ages from 6th grade to adult are encouraged to audition. Performers of all ages will be considered for all roles, including "children's" roles, unless otherwise stated.
