DONATE

Serving approximately 400 youth and families each year has made Act Out one of the largest youth development and arts organizations in the area. Our three major productions each year are offered as a tuition-free opportunity for kids and families of all socio-economic backgrounds to explore their creative potential. We could not do this without the partnership of the generous individuals, parents, businesses and foundations that support our mission. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation OR ongoing monthly contribution to Act Out in support of our talented participants.

ABOUT US

In 2011 we recognized a need for the youth and families in North Long Beach to celebrate who they are; with their unique gifts and talents and the value they bring to the community. For so many years, this area of Long Beach has been defined by the economic realities of the community rather than by the amazing and diverse people that occupy it! And so, the Act Out Theatre Company was established in 2012 with the mission of providing a TUITION FREE opportunity for at-risk and traditionally underserved children and adults to discover their creative
potential with arts programming and educational training that enrich
their lives and stimulate the entire community! Serving nearly 400 kids and families each year with three major productions and additional arts workshops, we are now one of the largest youth arts programs in Long Beach and the surrounding communities.

This program is a safe place where kids and adults can participate in arts education programs such as professional-level community theatre, set design workshops, graphic design workshops, theatrical hair & make-up workshops, and theatrical sound and lighting mentorships and much more. More importantly, we believe in a whole-child approach. This program is not just about arts-based education and training, we are offering youth mentoring and community outreach opportunities that are transforming our neighbors into better students, stronger families and people with a brighter hope for the future!
